Softball Bracketology: 2025 NCAA Field, Seeds, and Sites Officially Announced

2025 NCAA softball bracket announcement

The NCAA softball tournament bracket has been announced following months of work and thousands of games played by 300 Division I softball teams nationwide.

Matchups and regional locations for the 64-team field in the 2025 NCAA tournament will be revealed on Sunday night.

With seven of the top eight national seeds for the tournament, including four-time defending national champion Oklahoma as the No. 2 overall seed and Texas A&M as the top overall seed, the SEC dominated the field, as it had for the majority of the season. Only Missouri missed out on the NCAA tournament, while 14 of the league’s 15 teams qualified overall.

Some of the most important questions in college softball will be addressed over the course of the following three weeks: Is it possible for four-time Oklahoma to capture five straight titles? In the end, how many SEC teams will travel to Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series? Will a rookie succeed and win it all in a sport where only three programs have won more than two NCAA titles?

The NCAA tournament bracket, national seed, and Selection Sunday matchups are shown below:
