On Sunday, the NCAA baseball tournament tied the record set in 2023 by awarding eight of the 16 regional sites to teams in the Southeastern Conference.

The DI Baseball Committee will make the remaining 64-team field and first-round fixture announcements on Monday.

To begin the national tournament, the SEC will host Arkansas (43-13), Auburn (38-18), Georgia (42-15), LSU (43-14), Mississippi (40-19), Tennessee (43-16), Texas (42-12), and Vanderbilt (42-16).

Three teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference are hosting: North Carolina (42-12), Florida State (38-14), and Clemson (44-16).

In addition to Sun Belt Conference institutions Coastal Carolina (48-11) and Southern Mississippi (44-14), as well as independent Oregon State (41-12-1), the hosts are first-year Big Ten schools Oregon (42-14) and UCLA (42-16).

Four teams will compete in a double-elimination style in each regional. The winners will compete in best-of-three super regionals the following week after regionals begin on Friday and Saturday and end on June 2. On June 3, the eight super regional hosts will be revealed.

For the 37th time, Florida State is hosting a regional, which is the most of any school. While Arkansas and Clemson are hosting for the third consecutive year, FSU, Georgia, North Carolina, Oregon State, and Tennessee all hosted in 2024.

There are 35 at-large picks and 29 conferences that will automatically be included in the field of 64. Omaha, Nebraska’s Charles Schwab Field will host the start of the College World Series on June 13.
