Nintendo is releasing updated versions of its classic titles with improved framerates and resolutions, along with more content, even though the Switch 2 has backward compatibility.
Additionally, it offers upgrades for games you already own at a lower cost than entire games. It costs $10 to upgrade The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. It appears that Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree will cost twice as much at $20 each, as the firm has begun to disclose additional upgrade prices for old titles.
NintendoLife initially shared information regarding the possible costs of the upgrades based on their European eShop listings. Since then, the business has made updates to their US eShop to reflect that they are also available for $20 in the US. Purchasing the Kirby and the Forgotten Land upgrade gets you access to Star-Crossed World, a new game mode in which you must solve the mystery of the meteor that hit the world. In the meantime, Super Mario Party Jamboree includes Jamboree TV, a game program that Toad hosts. In addition to using the Joy-Con 2 and microphone of the Switch 2, the game allows you to put your face into the action during mini-games if you use the camera.
On July 24, Super Mario Party Jamboree will be released for the Switch 2, and on August 28, Kirby’s Switch 2 version will be accessible. If you upgrade an old copy of either game instead of purchasing the full Switch 2 edition, it will cost you $80. The Switch 2 versions of Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond will be released later this year, although Nintendo has not yet disclosed the prices.
