The institutions who will compete in the 2025 NCAA Division III Women’s Rowing Championship have been chosen by the NCAA Division III Women’s Rowing Committee.
The Ivy League and Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will host the finals, which will take place at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, New Jersey, from May 30 to May 31.
Eight teams compete for the team championship. Two boats with eight rowers and a coxswain must be fielded by each squad. Four conferences are automatically qualified to create “Pool A.” The final four teams are chosen from “Pool C,” which consists of the remaining Pool B institutions and conferences with automatic bids that did not win their conference’s AQ.

Tufts won its first national championship in 2024 at the NCAA Division III Women’s Rowing Championships, which were hosted at Bethel, Ohio’s Harsha Lake.

History of NCAA DIII Women’s Rowing Championship
The NCAA DIII Women’s Rowing Championship has showcased the best small-college rowing programs since it was first contested in 2002. The event has grown into a premier spring championship, emphasizing not only athletic performance but also the academic and community values central to DIII.
Held annually, the championship typically features eight teams, each racing with a first varsity eight (1V8+) and second varsity eight (2V8+) boat. Points from both races determine the national champion.
