The NCAA DI women’s golf championship for 2025 has arrived. The tournament, held at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA, from May 16–21, after the conclusion of regional play on May 7. On May 7, the finalist picks for the 2025 NCAA women’s golf tournament were revealed.
72 teams, including automatic qualifiers, and 36 people who were not on those teams were chosen by the committee to compete in one of the six regional locations. Twelve teams and six individuals (who are not on one of the chosen teams) make up each regional location. From each regional site, five teams will proceed to the final site, along with the top player who is not on an advancing team.

In the 2024 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship, Stanford clinched its third national team title by narrowly defeating UCLA 3–2 in the match-play final held at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. This victory marked Stanford’s second championship in three years, underscoring the program’s sustained excellence.
On the individual front, Texas A&M’s Adela Cernousek made history by becoming the first Aggie to win the NCAA individual title. She secured the championship with a 12-under-par total of 276 over four rounds, finishing three strokes ahead of the runner-up. This triumph was particularly notable as it was Cernousek’s first collegiate victory, highlighting her emergence as a standout talent in collegiate golf.
