As the 2024–25 NBA season draws to a close, let’s anticipate the upcoming professional basketball season. The NBA Draft will take place on Wednesday, June 25 and Thursday, June 26 to formally kick off the 2025–26 season.
The first and second rounds of the player selection event are livestreamed on ABC and ESPN, respectively.

NBA Draft 2025: When Is It? Time and Date
ABC and ESPN will broadcast the first round of the NBA Draft on Wednesday, June 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, while ESPN will broadcast the second round on Thursday, June 26. Both days will begin at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
How to Watch the 2025 NBA Draft Online
The greatest options for streaming online if you don’t have cable are Fubo (which starts at $64.99 for the first month and $84.99 after that) or DirecTV (which starts at $59.99 for the first month of service, $89.99/mo. after that). You may watch both days of the event for free right now since the streamers are each giving away five days of free trials.
Additionally, Sling Orange + Blue and Hulu + Live TV, both of which offer a three-day free trial, are available for streaming the NBA Draft.
NBA Draft Order for 2025
The lowest clubs in the league had the best chance of receiving a top three choice in the May draft lottery, which was open to the bottom 14 teams that missed the playoffs.
But the NBA world was taken aback when the Dallas Mavericks, a team with a mere 1% chance of receiving the top pick, were actually selected with the first overall pick. Cooper Flagg, a star at Duke, is expected to be the team’s top pick.
