MLB Playoffs 2025: Full Bracket, Schedule, and When Does the World Series Start?

The postseason in Major League Baseball begins in September and lasts nearly until November. Twelve teams will compete in the interim for the 11–13 wins required to win a World Series.

Four best-of-three wild card series will begin play on Tuesday, September 30. The Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners are the teams most likely to earn top seeds, and those survivors will face the top three seeds in the American and National Leagues.

However, a lot of things about these playoffs remain uncertain, including the World Series, which starts at the home of the team with the better record on Friday, October 24.
