Michigan Basketball 2025-26: Wolverines Announce Complete Nonconference Schedule

Michigan basketball 2025-26 schedule release

The Michigan basketball nonconference schedule has finally been set in stone after leaking in like a leaky faucet.

In order to get ready for what was hoped to be a long postseason schedule, coach Dusty May stated in 2024 that he wanted to make sure his Wolverines played a variety of different team styles. In the first year of the May period, it paid off as U-M not only won the Big Ten tournament but also made it to the Sweet 16.

The 2025–2026 season schedule is just as difficult, if not more so.

In addition to the return trips from last year’s games, which saw Wake Forest visiting Detroit and U-M traveling to play TCU in mid-November, the program faces a number of well-known programs, including Villanova at home (Tuesday, Dec. 9) and Duke in a neutral location (Feb. 21, Washington, D.C.).

Before Big Ten play begins, the Wolverines will face a number of challenging opponents, including San Diego State and Auburn, which eliminated them from the NCAA tournament the previous season. The “Players Era Festival” event in Las Vegas has a $1 million prize.

A comprehensive look at the 2025–26 nonconference schedule is provided below, along with a reminder of the Big Ten teams that U-M will face at home, on the road, and twice this season.
