Manchester United 2025–26 Pre-Season Schedule: Full Fixture List and How to Watch

Manchester United’s preseason in July and August is an essential opportunity to get off to a fast start as they prepare for the big summer.

Ruben Amorim’s team finished 2024–25 with the worst Premier League record ever, and the team’s overall league finish was the lowest since relegation at the end of 1973–74.

When he was hired in November, the Portuguese coach introduced a whole different style of play to Old Trafford, and the team he inherited wasn’t prepared for or used to it. Amorim had little time to express his thoughts due to his hectic schedule of midweek European engagements, and his confidence was eroding with every poor result.

With no international competitions, a chance to truly master the tactical demands, a rejuvenated team following a quick post-season tour of east Asia in May, and new players (Matheus Cunha is the sole newcomer thus far, but more are anticipated), United will hope to appear a completely different team come July.

Man Utd 2025-26 Pre-Season: Confirmed Fixtures

For their initial summer friendly, United will remain in Europe, making a relatively short trip to Sweden. The club boasts a large fanbase in Scandinavia, and while they have frequently played pre-season matches in Norway in recent years, this marks their first return to Sweden in nearly ten years.

Leeds United will be the opponent for the match in Stockholm, taking place at the venue where United celebrated lifting the Europa League trophy under José Mourinho in May 2017.

Following this, it’s off to the United States for the third consecutive summer. The Red Devils will participate in the Premier League Summer Series, a mini tournament designed to satisfy the American appetite for Premier League excitement.

United’s first games were against West Ham at MetLife Stadium, Bournemouth at Soldier Field in Chicago, and Everton at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

Eight days before United’s Premier League campaign kicks off on Sunday, August 17, against Arsenal, the preseason comes to an end with a final match against Fiorentina at Old Trafford.

How to Watch the Pre-Season Games for Manchester United 2025–2026

All of Manchester United’s preseason games may be watched on MUTV by supporters in the UK and most other countries. However, if you’re in the US, you won’t be able to watch the three Premier League Summer Series games on the club’s in-house channel.

The games between West Ham, Bournemouth, and Everton will be screened for American audiences by the competition’s regular American broadcast partner, NBC Sports, and its associated platforms, including Peacock, because they are part of an official Premier League event.

Pre-season for Man Utd 2025–2026: Snapdragon Cup

Although Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego has hosted the Snapdragon Cup twice before, the Fiorentina match will be the third annual event. Prior to their 3–2 win over Real Betis last summer, a young United team was defeated 3–1 by Wrexham in 2023.

As a result of the club’s continued collaboration with the IT company, United typically hosts a last friendly at Old Trafford each summer after leaving on tour. This year’s match is the Snapdragon Cup.

The second Champions League group phase in 1999–00 saw United famously compete both at home and away against a Fiorentina led by Gabriel Batistuta. These, however, are the only competitive encounters between them, with the exception of a single Ango-Italian Cup match in 1973.

Edin Džeko, 39, recently joined Fiorentina. During his time with Manchester City, he scored four goals at Old Trafford and has nine goals against United in his career.

David de Gea will also make his comeback during the match. Between 2011 and his departure in 2023, the Spaniard made 454 appearances, ranking sixth on United’s all-time list and being the only player outside of the top 25 who is neither British nor Irish. After leaving United, De Gea spent a whole season of professional football; nevertheless, since joining La Viola on August 9, 2024, precisely one year before his game, he has made a mark.
