From Zero, Linkin Park’s first album in seven years and their first with new co-vocalist Emily Armstrong, marks their comeback. Along with new drummer Colin Brittain, Armstrong joins longtime members Dave “Phoenix” Farrell (bass), Joe Hahn (turntables), and Mike Shinoda (co-vocals). Although he isn’t on tour, Brad Delson, the band’s original guitarist, is featured on the album. He is being replaced on the road by Alex Feder.
“Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking,” Shinoda explained in a statement about From Zero. “Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future—embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life.”
“It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans,” he added. “We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.”
