How to Watch ‘The Road’: Episode Release Schedule and Streaming Guide

Keith Urban The Road CBS music competition

It’s time for 12 up-and-coming country music artists to start touring with Keith Urban.

The Road, CBS’s most recent music competition series, truly tests up-and-coming musicians. This series is different from other karaoke-style shows available on the market, according to executive producers Taylor Sheridan, Lee Metzger, David Glasser, Blake Shelton, and Urban.

Instead of participants receiving feedback from judges, the audience chooses the artists they like. Every episode has unique music performed by each singer-songwriter, who must win over a crowd of fans who are waiting for Urban to perform.

The mentors Urban and Shelton choose which of the bottom three will return home after fans vote for their favorite up-and-coming singers each episode. The contestants traveled to various locations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee this spring.

Where to watch?

Sunday, October 19, is the day of the extended premiere of “The Road.” Every Sunday after that, new episodes of the series will air.

Is it broadcasting?

Both live and on-demand streaming of the competition series will be accessible on Paramount+. While Paramount+ Essential subscribers won’t be able to stream new episodes until the following day, Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers will be able to stream live.

What time is it on?

“The Road” is shown on the CBS Television Network at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Who are the hosts?

The series’ main hosts and judges are Urban and Shelton. During the performances, both country music artists sit in the audience and discuss each performance with fans and even with each other. They wait until after the performance to provide the artist with feedback.

The group’s “Mom-ager,” or tour manager, is American country music singer and songwriter Gretchen Wilson, who also provides participants with soundcheck feedback and a sympathetic ear on the tour bus.

Who are the competitors?

The series did not have an open audition process. To locate real, touring, working artists, the casting crew and executive producers searched bars in the country music industry. Additionally, each performer had to have an album’s worth of original songs ready to play throughout the show.

Adam Sanders, Cassidy Daniels, Channing Wilson, Cody Hibbard, Forrest McCurran, Jenny Tolman, Jon Wood, Olivia Harms, Blaine Bailey, Briana Adams, Cassidy Daniels, and Billie Jo Jones are among the artists.
