This year’s annual primetime telecast, which takes place one week after the Golden Globe Awards, coincides with Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Anthony Anderson will serve as the host for the live ceremony, which will honour its 75th anniversary.

The showing was postponed owing to the Hollywood strikes, and in August 2023, the Television Academy and FOX announced the new date: January 2024. In July 2023, the nominees were made public.

Among the group, there were a few obvious winners once the nods were revealed. With an astounding 27 nominations, succession dominated. Ted Lasso, The White Lotus, and The Last of Us all received many nods as well.
