F1 is set to proceed to the Red Bull Ring for the Austrian Grand Prix, marking round 11 of the 2025 season.
Oscar Piastri has increased his lead in the world championship during the previous race in Canada, despite finishing in fourth place. His teammate, Lando Norris, unfortunately retired late in the race following a collision between the two McLaren drivers. The current gap at the top of the standings stands at 22 points.
George Russell secured Mercedes’s inaugural victory of 2025 in Montreal, triumphing over his main competitor, Max Verstappen, to take first place, while Kimi Antonelli achieved his first podium finish in F1.
Conversely, it was yet another challenging weekend for Ferrari, as both Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton struggled to keep pace. The Scuderia will be looking for improvements as F1 makes its return to Europe this weekend.
