Breaking records, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” is the most-watched music video on Disney+

Taylor Swift’s concert film ‘Ellas Tour’ is still breaking records, even though fans can enjoy it from their homes.

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version), the full-length version of the pop star’s concert film, debuted on Disney+ just a few days ago and has since become the most-watched music film on the platform ever.

In just three days after its release last Thursday at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET, the film chronicling Swift’s career-spanning concert reportedly broke records with 4.6 million views. This is according to a report.

The three-and-a-half-hour clip, which is the duration of the Grammy winner, 34,’s set from her Eras Tour, has been viewed 16.2 million times by fans in only the last weekend. (Disney+ counts a view as the total stream time divided by the runtime of a title, according to report.)

According to Report, The Eras Tour surpassed other popular movies, including The Beatles: Get Back, Black Is King: A Film by Beyoncé, and Swift’s own folklore—the lengthy studio sessions—to become the most-watched music film on the streaming service.

The Disney+-only Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) features performances of numerous more acoustic songs that were previously left out of the theatrical and VOD versions. The singer-songwriter’s acoustic renditions of her hit songs, “Death by a Thousand Cuts,” “I Can See You,” “Maroon,” and “You Are in Love,” are now available for fans to see.

The hitmaker added back-in performances of “The Archer,” “Long Live,” and “Wildest Dreams,” which were deleted from the film owing to length, when she released the on-demand version of The Eras Tour in time for her birthday in December.

A number of records that Swift has broken since the debut of her concert film in October include the movie’s successful streaming release.

In addition to selling the most tickets ever on the first day of sales at AMC Theatres, it also had the highest-grossing debut of any concert movie ever. Directed by Sam Welch, the project went on to become one of the greatest grossing concert movies ever made, only surpassed in 2009 by Michael Jackson’s documentary This Is It.

Swift highlighted the film’s success on Instagram shortly after its first release, which reached the $200 million mark at the global box office just three weeks after its premiere.

“What a truly mind blowing thing you’ve turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into,” the writer remarked at the time.

“I’ve been watching videos of you guys in the theaters dancing and prancing and recreating choreography, creating inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and just generally creating the exact type of joyful chaos we’re known for 😇,” the “Karma” singer added.

Originally, Swift’s Eras Tour was recorded during her August 2023 concert run at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
