BET Launches ‘106 & Sports’: How to Watch the New Sports Talk Show

The 2025 sports version of “106 & Park” has the same enchantment.

Former NFL player and podcaster Cam Newton and seasoned journalists Ashley Nicole Moss will present a new countdown sports show on BET.

The show is described as “an unfiltered celebration where fandom, fun, and fearless opinions intersect. Each episode delivers a vibrant blend of authentic athlete insights and unfiltered fan energy, making it the most culturally resonant sports talk show on television,” according to a press release.

“This is not just a show about sports, it’s a show about the culture that makes the game,” the network said.

When will ‘106 & Sports’ premiere?

According to a source, “106 & Sports” will make its premiere on Wednesday, October 15, at 10 p.m. ET.

The next day, the programs will be accessible on the channel’s premium streaming service, BET+.

How many episodes will be in Season 1?

10 episodes will make up the first half of Season 1, which will air every week until December 17.

The show is expected to return in January 2026, according to BET.

Is ‘106 & Sports’ a spinoff?

“106 & Sports” is a rendition of “106 & Park,” the popular daily music countdown program on BET that served as a launching pad for aspiring musicians.

Launched in 2000 and ending in 2014, the show included a number of well-known hosts, including the rapper Bow Wow.

The executive vice president of unscripted programming and development at BET Media Group, Tiffany Lea Williams, stated in the news release that “106 & Sports” will be a reworking of “the cultural heartbeat of ‘106 & Park’ through the lens of sports.”

“106 & Sports” will be pre-recorded in front of a live studio audience, just like its predecessor. Scott Mills, the CEO of BET, hinted at a project earlier this year in an interview with “The Breakfast Club.”

Before the show’s 25th anniversary, Mills stated, “We are evolving what ‘106 & Park’ would look like in 2025 because it does have that very important role.”
