In Cincinnati, The White Bengal will soon arrive.
The Bengals said on Thursday that the team would start wearing new white helmets in 2022.
The alternate helmet and the expected debut date were not disclosed by the team.
The NFL voted to scrap the one-shell rule implemented in 2012 last year and allow clubs to wear a different helmet starting in 2022. The Bengals are the most recent team to benefit from the rule modification. This week, the Houston Texans unveiled their brand-new “Battle Red” helmets.
For years, Bengals supporters have requested the white helmets. This season, the new rule modification finally made that wish come true.
