The preview release of Microsoft's new Bing and Edge apps for iPhone and Android was announced on Wednesday. These apps include voice search and access to the company's AI chatbot. According to a release, users of the Bing mobile app can initiate a chat session by tapping the Bing icon, where they can ask a variety of questions via text or voice. Answers can be presented in the form of bullet points, simplified responses, or standard text. According to Microsoft, updates for Bing will also be accessible from the Edge mobile app's homepage. On Wednesday, Microsoft also announced Bing for Skype that is powered by AI. Clients can add Microsoft's simulated intelligence to bunch talks and ask it inquiries. The entire group will receive responses from the chatbot. Bing allows users to inquire about the weather, recent award shows, travel suggestions, and other topics. Answers can be presented in the form of bullet points, simplified responses, or text, just like the Bing mobile app. A preview of Bing in Skype is available worldwide. AI-powered enhancements to Microsoft's Edge browser and Bing search engine were revealed at an event on February 7 in Redmond, Washington. Users only have a limited number of queries to search for when the updates were initially released on desktop in a limited preview. According to CEO Satya Nadella, the most significant development in his nine years in charge of the business is the introduction of AI-powered search. In an interview conducted following Microsoft's event, Nadella stated to Jon Fortt of CNBC, "I have not seen something like this since I would say 2007-2008, when the cloud was just first coming out."
