American Music Awards 2025: Kendrick Lamar Tops the List, All Nominations Revealed

On April 23, rapper Kendrick Lamar received a top 10 nominations for the American Music Awards, including nominations for song of the year and artist of the year for his Grammy-winning diss single “Not Like Us.”

Lamar and fellow hip-hop artist Drake have a long-running quarrel over the song. Drake has sued Universal Music Group for defamation over the song’s release.

Favorite male country performer and favorite country album were among the eight nominations that Post Malone received for “F-1 Trillion.” He has won AMAs in pop/rock and rap/hip hop before.

Shaboozey, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish came next on the list, each receiving seven nominations. The singer with the most American Music Awards (AMAs), Taylor Swift, was nominated six times in 2025.

This year’s Grammy winner, “Cowboy Carter,” was nominated for both album of the year and favorite country album at the American Music Awards.She is also a contender for the title of favorite female country music performer.

Jennifer Lopez, an actress and pop singer, will host a ceremony on May 26 to announce the winners, who will be chosen by fans. CBS will broadcast the show live, and a limited number of customers will be able to watch it online on Paramount+.

Billboard music chart performances, album and streaming sales, radio play, and social media interaction were all factors in the nomination process.
