India vs Australia Women’s ODI Series Announced Ahead of 2025 World Cup

In mid-September, Australia will embark on a three-match ODI series in India as part of both teams’ “crucial preparation” for the women’s ODI World Cup, which will begin in India in late September.

The BCCI announced on Thursday that the games, which are scheduled for September 14, 17, and 20, will take place at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk). September 29 is the start date of the World Cup.

In addition to the hosts, India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan were granted direct entry into the World Cup after winning a qualification tournament in Pakistan earlier this year.

However, in accordance with the BCCI-PCB agreement reached earlier this year before to the Champions Trophy, Pakistan’s World Cup matches are probably going to be played at a neutral location. The event was hosted by the PCB, but all of India’s games—including the one versus Pakistan—were held in Dubai.

Men’s ‘A’ teams from South Africa and Australia will travel to India

India A will get additional cricket in September, October, and November when Australia A and South Africa A come. India A is now in England to play two four-day matches against the England Lions and then a four-day match against the main India Test team before the five-match England vs. India Test series.

Australia A will be the first team to visit, playing three one-day matches on September 30, October 3, and October 5, as well as two four-day matches beginning on September 16 and 23. Following a break, South Africa A will play three one-day matches on November 13, 16, and 19 and two four-day matches beginning on November 2 and November 9.

All of the India A vs. South Africa A matches would take place in Bengaluru, while the four-day matches between the Indians and Australians would be held in Lucknow and the one-day matches in Kanpur. Originally the National Cricket Academy, the BCCI’s new Centre of Excellence will host the two four-dayers, which will be the first competitive games held there.
