2024 Super Bowl: All You Need to Know – Date, How To Watch and More

Super Bowl LVIII is fast coming, and while the players taking part in the championship are still unknown, the venue and most other details are known.

The Las Vegas Raiders’ home stadium, Allegiant Stadium, will host the Super Bowl, which will take place in Las Vegas at the end of 2023. This is the first time the Super Bowl has been held in Las Vegas or throughout the whole state of Nevada.

The decision to hold the games in 2018 was made with New Orleans as the original host. The Super Bowl was pushed one week further into February after the league and NFLPA decided in March 2020 to extend the regular season by one game, from 16 to 17 games and 18 weeks total, beginning in 2021. There was a clash with New Orleans’ Mardi Gras celebrations since Super Bowl LVIII was rescheduled to take place on February 11, 2024.

The league declared in October 2020 that Super Bowl LIX will go to New Orleans instead. The announcement that Las Vegas would host Super Bowl LVIII was made in December of 2021.

Allegiant Stadium was built on the Las Vegas Strip’s Al Davis Way, and it opened for business in 2020. Construction started in 2017. The ten-story venue, when closed, can accommodate up to 65,000 spectators. At $1.9 billion to construct, it is the second most costly stadium globally.

Allegiant Stadium’s 92-foot Al Davis Memorial Torch, which pays tribute to the late Raiders owner, is one of its distinctive features. The torch was the world’s largest 3D printed building when it was made.

There will be lots of large screens available for spectators to view during the Super Bowl. The stadium has 75,000 square feet of video boards and more than 2,300 televisions.

In 2022 and 2023, Allegiant Stadium hosted the NFL Pro Bowl. The Covid-19 pandemic caused the plans to be delayed, but they were initially scheduled to start playing in the Pro Bowl in 2021. In addition, concerts, football matches, college football matches and other events are held in the stadium.

The NFL’s 58th Super Bowl will take place this year. This year, Usher will be the halftime act.
